From Sep 1982 to Aug 1986, Universal Television aired Knight Rider, an action-based adventure starring David Hasselhoff as a field operative for the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG), intent on helping the 'innocent, helpless, and powerless' against the criminal element. The real star of the show, however, was a futuristic-styled Pontiac Trans Am, the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), featuring a talking computer.
